Please note: Our 2010 bike trip is now complete. To join a future journey, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Everyone is invited to join the Solutions Revolution!
You can join for all or part of the ride.
You can choose to meet up with us for the bike, train, and/or boat portion of the Solutions Revolution. Whether you can come for just a day or the whole way, we’d love your company!
For the most part, our bike route mimics Amtrak’s train routes. So, if you want to meet up with us along the way, we’ll rendezvous with you at a train station. From Portland to Chicago, our bike route follows the Empire Builder. From Chicago to DC, our bike route follows the Capitol Limited. From DC to Miami, we’ll be putting on our bikes on the Silver Meteor and holding a train-wide meeting in preparation for the UN Climate Change Conference in Cancun, Mexico. From Miami to Cancun, we’ll be sailing. Visit to our route page to see the map, specific dates and locations. If you want to meet up with us at a location that’s on our bike route but not on the Amtrak route, email us and we’ll work it out.
All participants are responsible for bringing their own bike, gear, and money for camping, food, train and sailing tickets. We suggest you budget $25 per day for camping and food. The train ticket from DC to Miami will cost $120. The cost for sailing from Miami to Cancun is to be determined.
We’ll bring bike maps and the following tools: Tool List.pdf
