“I’m riding to learn what I can do to stop climate change. I’ve changed my lightbulbs, eat locally, and commute by bike, now what? I’m excited to find out what more I can do.”

“I’m riding to see the US from a new perspective. I’m looking forward to the view from my handlebars as well as all the people we will meet in towns I’m just hearing about for the first time.”

“As a retired teacher, father and climate activist, projects like 350 Solutions Revolution help to inspire people of all ages to take action. Telling the story of local people seeking local solutions to Climate Change will not only help to lower the Earth’s fever but to build a sense of human partnership across America and our planet. Elected officials….are you listening?”

“I know lots about the dire consequences of climate change, so it will be great to see the positives: the people who are working on solutions and leading the transition to the green economy. I’m looking forward to bringing our messages and new perspectives to Washington DC and to the climate change summit in Cancun.”

“I call myself Peace Rider after a woman who called herself Peace Pilgrim. She walked across the USA for decades. Her message is an old one, largely ignored as she pointed out; the way to peace is the Way of Love, overcome evil with good, hatred with love and falsehood with Truth. For me it was her example and my Love and concern for all living things that impelled and inspired my ride for the planet in 2009 and 2010. Of all humanities social injustices the most urgent is climate change. It is why I and many others have set out to ride and speak out until there’s a satisfactory resolution to healing and restoration of the planet. It is why I chose to join another climate change ride, Solutions Revolution. It is the next step I could take in this transformational process. It remains our greatest challenge to make peace with the earth as well as peace on earth. We cannot afford to not get it right. As Peace Pilgrim simply stated, ‘There will no peace on earth until enough of us have found inner peace.’ More have…in that there is hope!”
